Howsham Hall was the beautiful venue Helen and Daniel chose for their special day. Located in the North Yorkshire countryside this is the perfect choice for those wanting to be surrounded by natural beauty as well as a venue full of history and grandeur. The venue lends itself to combining the traditional with modern touches allowing couples to make their day unique to them.
With their special day being in the autumn Helen and Daniel wanted to incorporate the seasonal changes happening in nature in their flower arrangements. Choosing rich and warm tonal shades of oranges and mustard with touches of deep reds and burgundy, the colours matched perfectly to the leaves changing and shifting into their autumn colours. The style of the arrangements were kept loose and natural with a slightly messy wild flower touch too.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the elegant Great Hall. Our gold stands were placed at the start of the aisle, with a natural and colourful arrangement on top, these made the perfect entrance for guests making their way to their seats and for that all important walk down the aisle. Placing your arrangements like this makes the aisle feel extended plus draws your eyes toward the end altar space. Here a long and low arrangement was placed on the signing table. Perfect for all parts of the ceremony from saying the vows to signing. All of these arrangements were utilised in other areas of the wedding following the ceremony, creating a sustainable way to use your flowers throughout the whole day.
Buttonholes and Cake FLowers
The buttonholes were kept simple with flowers from the rest of the wedding along with touches of greenery. Stems were simply finished with twine to continue the natural style.
The cake was decorated along the tiers on opposite sides. The design was simple and incorporated flowers and foliage from the rest of the wedding.
The Tables
The table flowers were kept simple with ridged clear vases filled with informal mixed floral arrangements. Each table was slightly different which helps to create the natural style.
